Frost Mage AoE Leveling — AoE Leveling · WoW Burning Crusade
The frost mage's Blizzard pull carries into The Burning Crusade unchanged: gather melee enemies, Frost Nova them, channel Blizzard while Improved Blizzard and Permafrost hold them in it, and finish with Cone of Cold. In Outland the packs are denser and the beasts drop parts that vendor well, so the same technique carries a mage from Hellfire to 70, with the Water Elemental adding a second Frost Nova from level 50.
Mages still pull and kill more enemies at once than any other class while leveling, and Outland's open plains and dense beast herds suit Blizzard.
Strengths
- The fastest open-world kill rate of any class
- Outland beasts drop vendor parts worth 9–12 silver each
- Ice Block, Blink and the Water Elemental's Freeze save bad pulls
Weaknesses
- Mana-hungry: drink between pulls
- Casters and ranged enemies break the technique
- Contested spots are common on busy realms
