What it does

Puts the named one-handed weapon in your main hand and your shield in your off hand, then switches to Defensive Stance.

How to use

Replace the placeholders with your items' exact names. Press it when a fight turns bad: you can then Shield Wall, Shield Block or Shield Bash.

Requirements

How it works

  1. #showtooltip Defensive Stance
    • The button shows Defensive Stance: its icon, cooldown and tooltip
  2. /equipslot 16 <<One-handed weapon>>
    • Equip <<One-handed weapon>> in slot 16
  3. /equipslot 17 <<Your shield>>
    • Equip <<Your shield>> in slot 17
  4. /cast [nostance:2] Defensive Stance
    • Cast Defensive StanceWhen:You aren't in Defensive Stance

Limitations

  • Weapons can be swapped in combat; a swap restarts your swing timer.

How to add a macro in the game
  1. Type /macro in the chat box and press Enter, or open the game menu and choose Macros.
  2. Choose New. Give the macro a name and pick the question-mark icon: with #showtooltip the button then shows the spell it casts.
  3. On this page, choose a macro and press Copy Macro.
  4. Click into the macro window's text box and paste (Ctrl+V, or ⌘V on a Mac).
  5. Drag the macro's icon from the window onto an action bar.

General Macros are shared by all your characters on the account; Character Specific Macros belong to one character. Class macros belong in the character tab.
