Legacy — Wiki · WoW Forever

Beta data

Legacy is WoW Forever's account-wide progression. Every challenge you complete, on any character, earns one Legacy Point. Each character spends up to 16 of them on its own perks, and the points you earn beyond that keep counting toward cosmetic rewards.

The system unlocks with your first point: usually your first character reaching level 25, or a non-gathering profession reaching 150, or a character exploring the whole world map.

How Legacy works

  1. 1EarnComplete challenges: level each class to 25, 45 and 60, raise crafting professions to 150, 225 and 300, clear dungeons and raids, explore Azeroth, and climb in PvP. Each is worth one Legacy Point, once per account.
  2. 2SpendEvery character spends up to 16 points in the Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness trees, independently of your other characters: an alt can take different perks.
  3. 3Keep countingPoints past the spending cap still count. The reward track unlocks a toy, a pet, a tabard and a mount as your account's total grows.
  4. 4RulesetsLegacy Points are shared by every ruleset except Hardcore: challenges completed in Hardcore carry over to the other rulesets, but not the other way round. Hardcore, which comes after launch, has its own 12 challenges in place of the PvP ones.
