Enter Macro Commands:

#showtooltip
/cast [@pet,dead] Revive Pet; [nopet] Call Pet; Mend Pet
69/255 Characters Used

What it does

With your pet dead it casts Revive Pet; with no pet out, Call Pet; otherwise Mend Pet.

How to use

One key looks after your pet's life: press it between fights to heal, after a death to revive.

Requirements

How it works

  1. #showtooltip
    • The button shows whatever the macro will cast: its icon, cooldown and tooltip
  2. /cast [@pet,dead] Revive Pet; [nopet] Call Pet; Mend Pet
    • Option 1:Cast Revive Pet · On: Your petWhen:It is dead
    • Option 2:Cast Call Pet · On: Your target, or the game's normal targetingWhen:No pet is out
    • Otherwise:Cast Mend Pet · On: Your target, or the game's normal targeting

Limitations

  • A dead pet you have dismissed (by mounting or travelling) counts as no pet: Call Pet then tells you it is dead, and you need Revive Pet directly.

How to add a macro in the game
  1. Type /macro in the chat box and press Enter, or open the game menu and choose Macros.
  2. Choose New. Give the macro a name and pick the question-mark icon: with #showtooltip the button then shows the spell it casts.
  3. On this page, choose a macro and press Copy Macro.
  4. Click into the macro window's text box and paste (Ctrl+V, or ⌘V on a Mac).
  5. Drag the macro's icon from the window onto an action bar.

General Macros are shared by all your characters on the account; Character Specific Macros belong to one character. Class macros belong in the character tab.
