Best WoW Forever UI Addons — Addons · WoW Forever

You can replace the whole interface with one addon, or change it piece by piece. Both work; mixing a full replacement with piece-by-piece addons usually doesn't.

How we chose

  • Its current release ships for WoW Forever.
  • Changes how the interface looks or is laid out.

The picks

  • ElvUICompatible

Replaces the whole interface with one configurable layout.

  • Bartender4Compatible

Replaces the action bars with bars you can move and configure.

  • DominosCompatible

Movable action bars with paging and visibility rules, such as showing a bar only in combat.

  • Plater NameplatesCompatible

Nameplates you can customize in depth, with scripting for advanced users.

  • Prat 3.0Compatible

Chat improvements in 30-odd modules you switch on one by one.

  • Leatrix PlusCompatible

Small tweaks to the default interface, such as a square minimap, without replacing it.

  • SexyMapCompatible

Styling and layout options for the minimap.

  • MasqueCompatible

Restyles the buttons of addons that support it, with third-party skins.

How they compare

ElvUI replaces action bars, unit frames and more at once; Bartender4 or Dominos change only the bars. Don't run ElvUI's action bars together with another action bar addon.

Bartender4 and Dominos do the same job: Dominos adds visibility rules and paging per bar, Bartender4 more layout options. Use one.

Setting them up

  • Back up WTF before trying a full UI replacement, so you can go back.
  • Unlock and arrange the bars once, then lock them.
