Essential WoW Forever Addons for New Players — Addons · WoW Forever
Start small: a few addons that each fix one everyday problem and work well as installed. Add more once you know what you miss.
Forever already has a Cooldown Manager and scrolling combat text built in (see Options), so you may not need addons for those.
How we chose
- Its current release ships for WoW Forever.
- Useful straight after installing, without setup.
- One addon per job, so nothing overlaps.
The picks
QuestieCompatiblePuts every quest's start, objectives and turn-in on your map: the single biggest help while leveling.
Leatrix PlusCompatibleDozens of small comforts, such as auto-repair and selling junk, each off until you switch it on.
Deadly Boss Mods (DBM)CompatibleWarns and counts down before boss abilities in dungeons and raids.
Details! Damage MeterCompatibleShows damage and healing for each fight, for you and your group.
BaganatorCompatibleAll your bags in one window, with search and sorting.
AuctionatorCompatibleAuction prices in tooltips and quicker posting at the Auction House.
TomTomCompatibleAn arrow that points to any spot you mark on the map.
How they compare
Pick one boss mod: Deadly Boss Mods comes with more warnings and voice packs, BigWigs is modular and installs its raid and dungeon modules separately.
For bags, Baganator and Bagnon both merge your bags into one window; Baganator adds category views.
Setting them up
- Install a few at a time, so you can tell which one changed what.
- Open each addon's options once: most have a minimap button or a slash command (each addon's page lists them).
