Published: UnknownDeployed: 8 changesOriginal Blizzard archive

Dire Maul, outdoor raid bosses, and dungeon group limits.

Dungeons & Raids

  • Dire Maul opens for five-player groups at levels 56–60; Azuregos and Lord Kazzak become outdoor raid encounters.
  • Raid-group limits are 40 for Molten Core/Onyxia, 15 for Blackrock Spire, five for Dire Maul, and ten for other dungeons in this patch.

General

  • Meeting Stones help assemble dungeon groups; they are not the later summoning implementation.

Classes— Mage

  • Mage Armor is trainable at level 34, retains 30% Mana regeneration while casting, and adds magic resistance; Improved Blizzard refreshes its 1.5-second chill every damage tick, extended to 4.5 seconds by Permafrost.

Classes— Warrior

  • Thunder Clap becomes Physical instead of Nature damage; Execute preserves unspent Rage on a miss, and dodged special attacks enable Overpower.

Classes— Warlock

  • Nightfall’s proc chances become 2/4%; a Shadow Bolt already being cast cannot consume Shadow Trance, and Curse of Agony scales with bonus Shadow damage.

Classes— Shaman

  • Reincarnation no longer causes resurrection sickness; Tremor Totem receives a larger radius and more frequent pulses.

Classes— Rogue

  • Zone-specific footlockers provide lockpicking practice, from Durnholde Keep to Tyr’s Hand; very high-end gems are removed from junk boxes and pickpocketing.
