How the run goes

The Argent Crusade's Coliseum: five encounters in one arena, with no trash. The Northrend Beasts, Lord Jaraxxus, the Faction Champions, the Twin Val'kyr and, through the broken floor, Anub'arak in the frozen depths.

Group: Ten or twenty-five players: two or three tanks, healers who can handle heavy raid damage, and damage dealers with crowd control and interrupts for the Faction Champions.

    • Rising AngerGrowing rage increases damage dealt by 15%.
    • Snobolled!
    • Staggering StompDeals a staggering stomp that inflicts 7800 to 8200 Physical damage to all enemies within 15 yards and interrupts spellcasting for 8 seconds.
    • ImpaleInflicts 100% of weapon damage to an enemy and causes it to bleed for 1400 to 1800 damage per application every 2 sec. for 30 sec.
    • Slime PoolA poison cloud appears which grows in area over 30 sec.
    • SweepWhirls around, dealing 6938 to 8062 Physical damage to enemies within 15 yards and knocking them back.
    • Paralytic ToxinApplies a paralytic toxin that inflicts increasing Nature damage every 2 sec. and reduces movement speed over time until the victim is entirely paralyzed. Exposure to Burning Bile neutralizes Paralytic Toxin.
    • Burning BileCoats enemies with burning bile, inflicting periodic Fire damage to them and their nearby allies. The burning bile of a jormungar is known to neutralize paralytic toxins.

Three beasts in a row. Gormok the Impaler stacks Impale on the tank, stomps and throws Snobolds onto players. Acidmaw and Dreadscale, two worms, alternate burrowing and standing still: Paralytic Toxin slows and paralyses, Burning Bile burns, and a bile victim cures a toxin victim by touching them. Icehowl breathes frost, whirls, crashes down and then charges a player in a straight line.

    1. Gormok: tanks swap on Impale; kill the Snobolds that jump onto players.
    2. Acidmaw and Dreadscale: one tank on each; Burning Bile players run to Paralytic Toxin players to cure them; kill both within seconds of each other.
    3. Icehowl: after Massive Crash, run out of the line of his Furious Charge; if he hits a wall he's stunned and takes extra damage.
    Tanks
Swap on Gormok's Impale; one tank per worm, moving the mobile one out of slime pools; on Icehowl, get out of his charge path too.
    Healers
Heal Snobold victims and toxin or bile victims; spread for Icehowl's crash and move out of the charge line.
    Damage dealers
Kill Snobolds, balance damage on the worms, and dodge Icehowl's charge: if he tramples players, he enrages.

    • BerserkIncreases the caster's attack and movement speeds by 150% and all damage it deals by 500% for 5 min. Also grants immunity to Taunt effects.

An eredar lord. Incinerate Flesh puts an absorb on a player that must be healed through, Legion Flame leaves a fire trail behind its target, Fel Fireball must be interrupted, Fel Lightning chains, and Nether Power stacks on him (dispel or steal it). He summons a Nether Portal (Mistress of Pain) and an Infernal Volcano (infernals).

    Tanks
Hold Jaraxxus in the middle; off-tanks pick up each Mistress of Pain and the infernals.
    Healers
Heal through Incinerate Flesh's absorb fast, or its target's burst hits the raid; spread for Fel Lightning.
    Damage dealers
Interrupt Fel Fireball, dispel or steal Nether Power, kill the Mistress and infernals; move away from the raid with Legion Flame.

    Healers
Expect damage from everywhere; stay near the group and dispel crowd control on your allies.
    Damage dealers

Two val'kyr sharing one health pool. Players take Light or Dark Essence from portals; your own colour's orbs give damage, the other colour's hurt. Light and Dark Vortex blast the raid unless you hold the matching essence. Shield of Lights or Darkness with Twin's Pact means one twin heals: break the shield with the right essence and interrupt.

    Tanks
One tank on each twin; Twin Spike hits hard, so keep up mitigation.
    Healers
Switch essence to match each Vortex; dodge orbs of the other colour.
    Damage dealers
Take the essence the raid assigns, soak your own colour's orbs, switch for each Vortex and break the healing shield.

The crypt lord in the frozen depths. Freezing Slash and Penetrating Cold on the tank and raid; Nerubian Burrowers spawn and must be held on frozen ground (permafrost from killed frost spheres) so they can't burrow. He submerges and sends Pursuing Spikes after a player, who kites them over permafrost. Below 30% he stops submerging and casts Leeching Swarm.

    1. Surfaced: tank him and the burrowers on permafrost; kill burrowers before they dig in.
    2. Submerged: the spike target runs, ideally over permafrost to stop the spikes; Swarm Scarabs attack.
    3. Below 30%: Leeching Swarm drains everyone; burn him.
    Tanks
Main tank holds Anub'arak; off-tanks hold the burrowers on permafrost.
    Healers
Leeching Swarm in the last phase drains health from everyone: heal hard and use cooldowns.
    Damage dealers
Kill frost spheres to make permafrost where it's needed, kill burrowers, and burn him in the last phase.

Before you go

  • Kite Icehowl and use the walls to stop his charge.
  • Choose the matching essence for each Val'kyr's orbs.
  • Level 80, no attunement. Heroic (the Trial of the Grand Crusader) shares a lockout with Normal and limits attempts.
