Earning Honor

  • Kills and assists in world PvP and battlegrounds. In a group, Honor is shared equally and you get a bonus, as with experience; members far below the others get less.
  • Battleground objectives give bonus Honor to the whole team, such as defeating Alterac Valley's leaders or capturing a flag in Warsong Gulch.
  • Daily and repeatable quests.
  • You must be near the kill to get a share. NPCs are no longer civilians, so there are no dishonorable kills.

The cap

You can hold up to 75,000 Honor; at the cap you stop earning it until you spend some. Plan purchases before you reach it.

Marks of Honor and reputations

Each battleground awards its own Mark of Honor. Many Honor rewards also cost marks, so keep playing every battleground. Battleground reputations still rise with participation, and their rewards are sold by the supply officers. Exalted with every battleground faction earns the title Justicar (Alliance) or Conqueror (Horde).
