What it does

Targets the nearest enemy player; each press moves to the next one. Pets, totems, guards and other creatures are never picked.

How to use

Bind it in place of Tab for battlegrounds and world PvP, where Tab keeps landing on pets and totems.

Requirements

  • From level 1

Nothing beyond the spells in the macro.

How it works

  1. /targetenemyplayer
    • Target the nearest enemy player

Limitations

  • Like Tab, it only picks players in front of you and in range.

How to add a macro in the game
  1. Type /macro in the chat box and press Enter, or open the game menu and choose Macros.
  2. Choose New. Give the macro a name and pick the question-mark icon: with #showtooltip the button then shows the spell it casts.
  3. On this page, choose a macro and press Copy Macro.
  4. Click into the macro window's text box and paste (Ctrl+V, or ⌘V on a Mac).
  5. Drag the macro's icon from the window onto an action bar.

General Macros are shared by all your characters on the account; Character Specific Macros belong to one character. Class macros belong in the character tab.
