How the run goes

The titan city in the Storm Peaks: fourteen bosses over four areas. The Siege of Ulduar starts with vehicles against the Flame Leviathan; the Antechamber holds Kologarn, Auriaya and the Assembly of Iron; the Keepers of Ulduar (Hodir, Thorim, Freya and Mimiron) each guard their own wing; and the Descent into Madness leads past General Vezax to Yogg-Saron. Algalon the Observer waits in the Celestial Planetarium for raids that unlock him.

Group: Ten or twenty-five players: two or three tanks, healers who can move a lot, and damage dealers ready for vehicle fights, kiting and Yogg-Saron's sanity management.

Map and route

100%

Flame Leviathan comes first, fought from vehicles. Then up through the Formation Grounds to Ignis in the Colossal Forge, out to Razorscale's courtyard, and the Scrapyard for XT-002 Deconstructor.

A vehicle fight. The raid drives demolishers (catapults that can throw players), siege engines (shields and rams) and choppers (tar and speed) against a giant titan war machine. The Leviathan Pursues one vehicle at a time, sprays Flame Vents and rams with Battering Ram; demolishers fling players up onto it to destroy its turrets, which overloads its circuits and stuns it.

    Tanks
Siege engines shield the raid's vehicles and ram the Leviathan; when it pursues your vehicle, drive away and keep it chasing you.
    Healers
Repair and refuel vehicles at the pyrite and repair spots; keep your vehicle out of Flame Vents.
    Damage dealers
Demolishers keep up pyrite and hurl players onto the Leviathan to kill the turrets; choppers lay tar to slow it. Burn it during the overload stun.

    • Flame JetsStomps the ground causing geysers of flame to errupt under all enemies. These geysers deal 5655 to 6345 Fire damage, knocking the targets into the air and interrupting any spells being cast for 6 sec. In addition, the targets take 1000 Fire damage per second for 6 sec.
    • ScorchFires a jet of flame, burning all enemies in front of the caster within 30 yards, dealing 2357 to 2643 Fire damage every half-second for 3 sec. Additionally, the ground is scorched by this effect causing it to catch on fire, dealing 1885 to 2115 Fire damage every second to all enemies within 13 yards. Iron Constructs within this radius will begin to heat up, eventually becoming molten.
    • Activate ConstructFires a bolt of magma at a random deactivated Iron Construct, activating it and causing it to defend the caster.
    • BerserkIncreases the caster's attack and movement speeds by 150% and all damage it deals by 500% for 5 min. Also grants immunity to Taunt effects.
    • Slag PotCharges and grabs a random enemy target, tossing them into the caster's slag pot. The target is unable to attack the caster and takes 4500 Fire damage every second for 10 sec. If the target survives, they are imbued with the magical slag, increasing their haste by 100% for 10 sec.

A fire construct who activates Iron Constructs during the fight; each living construct gives him Strength of the Creator. His Scorch heats the ground, and a construct dragged through it becomes Molten; a molten construct dropped into the water becomes Brittle and shatters under a hard hit. He also grabs a player into a Slag Pot and uses Flame Jets.

    Tanks
Main tank holds Ignis away from the water; an off-tank drags each construct into Scorch, then into the water, so the raid can shatter it.
    Healers
Heal the Slag Pot victim through the burn, and stop casting when Flame Jets is about to land (it interrupts).
    Damage dealers
Shatter brittle constructs with big hits as soon as they come out of the water; otherwise keep damage on Ignis.

A proto-drake held in the air by Expedition harpoons. While she flies, Dark Rune Watchers, Sentinels and Guardians climb out of the caves; fire the harpoons to bring her down. On the ground she breathes fire, fuses the tank's armour and buffets; Devouring Flame burns the ground. At half health she stays grounded for good.

    1. Air: kill the Dark Rune adds and fire the harpoons when they're ready to pull her down.
    2. Grounded briefly: burn her; move away when she breathes as she takes off.
    3. Permanently grounded (from half health): tank swaps on Fuse Armor; avoid Devouring Flame.
    Tanks
Tanks pick up the Dark Rune adds while she flies, then swap on Fuse Armor once she stays down.
    Healers
Move out of Devouring Flame patches; heal the tank through Flame Breath once she's grounded.
    Damage dealers
Kill the adds in the air phase, then everything into Razorscale while she's down; avoid her breath.

    • HeartbreakThe heart of the XT-002 Deconstructor has been severed, removing the combat limitations of the XT-002 Deconstructor. Damage increased by 15%. Health increased by 50%.

A giant construct. Searing Light and Gravity Bomb mark players, who run out of the raid before they go off; Tympanic Tantrum hits the whole raid. At three points his heart is exposed and Scrapbots, Boombots and Pummellers pour out of the scrap piles.

    1. Normal: tank him; marked players run away from the raid.
    2. Heart phase: burn the exposed heart (destroying it makes him harder and better rewarded) and kill the adds coming from the corners.
    Tanks
Hold XT-002 in the middle; off-tanks pick up the Pummellers in the heart phases.
    Healers
Heal the raid through Tympanic Tantrum, and the marked players as they run out.
    Damage dealers
Run away from the raid with Searing Light or Gravity Bomb; in the heart phase, kill the heart or the adds as the raid plans.

    • Chain LightningStrikes an enemy with a lightning bolt that arcs to another nearby enemy. The spell affects up to 5 targets, causing Nature damage to each.
    • Lightning WhirlSpins around throwing off bolts of lightning at random enemy targets. Each bolt deals 3770 to 4230 Nature damage.

The Iron Council. Steelbreaker fights in melee with a High Voltage aura and Fusion Punch; Runemaster Molgeim places a Rune of Power (stand in it for extra damage), a Rune of Death (move out) and a Shield of Runes; Stormcaller Brundir casts Chain Lightning, Overload and Lightning Whirl, and chases players with Lightning Tendrils. Each one that dies Supercharges the others.

    Tanks

    Healers
Run out of Overload and Rune of Death; heal through Fusion Punch and Chain Lightning.

Focused Eyebeam follows a player, who leads it away. Destroying an arm spawns rubble and damages Kologarn.

    Tanks
Two tanks swap on Crunch Armor; pick up the rubble when an arm dies.
    Healers
Heal the gripped players while the arm is damaged, and anyone the eyebeam reaches.
    Damage dealers

    • BerserkIncreases the caster's attack speed by 150% and all damage it deals by 900% for 30 min.

A titan watcher with her cats. Sonic Screech hits a cone in front of her, split among everyone in it; Terrifying Screech fears the raid; Guardian Swarm releases cats on a player; Sanctum Sentries fight beside her; her Feral Defender comes back several times and leaves Seeping Essence when killed.

    Tanks

The frost giant keeper. Flash Freeze freezes every player not standing on a snow mound; Biting Cold stacks on anyone who stands still; Frozen Blows boosts his hits. NPC helpers frozen in ice around the room (mages, druids, priests and shamans) give the raid fire, starlight and storm buffs once freed.

    Tanks
Hold him and keep moving a little to drop Biting Cold; when Flash Freeze comes, stand on a snow mound.
    Healers

Nature Bombs, Sunbeams and Eonar's Gift (a healing sapling) add pressure. In the second phase she fights herself with Iron Roots and Ground Tremor.

    1. Waves: kill each wave of lashers, the elemental trio together, and the Conservator (stand in healthy spores to resist its grip).
    2. Freya: break Iron Roots on players, interrupt or move from Ground Tremor, and keep killing Eonar's Gift.
    Tanks
Tanks pick up each wave and Freya; move out of Nature Bombs.
    Healers

    1. Leviathan Mk II: tank it away from mines; the tank uses a cooldown for Plasma Blast; melee run out of Shock Blast.
    2. VX-001: spread out, move away from Rocket Strikes and keep away from the rotating Laser Barrage.
    3. Aerial Command Unit: kill the bots; use an assault bot's magnetic core to bring the unit down.

    • Saronite BarrierCreates a saronite barrier, reducing all damage taken by 99%.
    • Shadow CrashFires a shadow missile at a target, dealing 11310 to 12690 Shadow damage to all enemies near the impact point and knocking them away. After impact, leaves an energy field that lingers for 20 sec, increasing damage dealt by 100%, reducing healing done by 75%, and reducing mana costs by 75%.
    • Searing FlamesDeals 13875 to 16125 Fire damage to all enemies within 100 yards, superheating their armor and reducing its ability to protect them by 75% for 10 sec.
    • Surge of DarknessEmpowers the caster with dark might, increasing physical damage by 100% but reducing movement speed by 55%, for 10 sec.
    • Mark of the FacelessInflicts an ancient malediction on a target, siphoning 5000 health every 1 sec. from enemies near the target, for 10 sec.
    • BerserkIncreases the caster's attack and movement speeds by 150% and all damage it deals by 500% for 5 min. Also grants immunity to Taunt effects.

A faceless general whose Aura of Despair stops all mana regeneration. Saronite Vapors appear: standing in them restores mana but adds stacking damage. Shadow Crash leaves a pool that makes players heal and damage less; Mark of the Faceless drains players near the marked one; Searing Flames must be interrupted; Surge of Darkness boosts his hits.

    Tanks
Kite him slowly during Surge of Darkness and use a cooldown for its hits.
    Healers
Use Saronite Vapors carefully for mana (a few stacks at a time); stay away from the marked player.

The old god in three phases. First Sara and Guardians of Yogg-Saron: kill guardians next to Sara so their Shadow Nova damages her. Then Yogg's tentacles appear: Crusher, Corruptor and Constrictor tentacles, and portals lead into his brain, where players kill illusions and then the brain itself. Finally Yogg-Saron: Lunatic Gaze drains sanity from those who look at him, Shadow Beacon, Deafening Roar and Immortal Guardians. Every player has Sanity; at zero, they're mind-controlled.

    1. Sara: kill Guardians of Yogg-Saron near her, avoid the clouds that summon more.
    2. Tentacles and brain: kill the tentacles; a team enters the brain through portals, kills the illusions and damages the brain.
    3. Yogg-Saron: turn away from Lunatic Gaze, handle Immortal Guardians and Shadow Beacons, and burn him.
    Tanks
Pick up guardians in phase one, Crusher tentacles in phase two and Immortal Guardians in phase three.
