RestedXP Guides for WoW TBC — Addons · WoW TBC

Overview

RestedXP Guides gives you a planned leveling route and walks you through it step by step, with an arrow to each objective. It can accept and hand in quests for you, find and mark the NPCs a step needs through a targeting macro, and track how long you take to level. The addon is free and includes some routes; the full guides are sold separately.

Who it's for

Players who want a planned, fast route through leveling and don't mind paying for the full guides.

Main features

• Planned questing routes with an arrow to each objective
• Automatic quest accept and turn-in, plus other automation options
• A targeting macro that finds and marks the NPCs a step needs
• A leveling time tracker
• A platform for writing your own guides

Limitations

• The free download covers only part of the leveling: the full routes are paid.

Configuration

Commands

• /rxpCopy /rxpOpens the RestedXP window (/rxpg works too).

First setup

1. Type /rxp to open the addon and pick a route for your character.
2. Turn the automation options, such as auto accept and auto turn-in, on or off to taste.
3. Set up the targeting macro if you want it to find and mark the NPCs for each step.

Common mistakes

• Running two leveling guide addons at once: both try to steer you, and their arrows and markers overlap.

Compatibility by version

Alternatives

•
  GuidelimeCompatible

Guidelime is free and follows guides installed as separate addons; RestedXP adds automation such as auto accept and turn-in, and its full routes are paid.

•
  QuestieCompatible

Questie is free and marks every quest on the map without a set order; RestedXP gives you the route itself.
