How the run goes
A straight run from the mine entrance to Edwin VanCleef's ship. Each early boss guards a door: Rhahk'Zor, Sneed and Gilnid, then the Defias cannon blows open the way to Ironclad Cove, where Mr. Smite, Captain Greenskin and VanCleef wait on the ship.
Group: A tank, a healer and three damage dealers around level 20. It is a long dungeon for its level; most groups need a short drink break before the ship.
Map and route
Down the mine to Rhahk'Zor and through his door to the lumber mill for Sneed and his shredder, then Gilnid in the foundry. The cannon opens Ironclad Cove: Mr. Smite on the dock, Cookie, Captain Greenskin and Edwin VanCleef on the ship.
1.The mines
Follow the mine tunnel down past the miners and kobolds. Rhahk'Zor guards the first wooden door; killing him opens it. Miner Johnson sometimes spawns in a side tunnel along the way.
2.The lumber mill and the foundry
Through Rhahk'Zor's door to the lumber mill, where Sneed pilots his shredder. Destroy the shredder, kill Sneed and the next door opens. Gilnid holds the foundry beyond; he guards the door to the cannon tunnel.
3.Ironclad Cove
Past Gilnid, the goblins fire the Defias cannon and blow open the gate to the cove. Mr. Smite meets you as you board the ship; Cookie is on the lower deck, Captain Greenskin on the middle deck and Edwin VanCleef at the top.

Rhahk'Zor SlamInflicts 64 to 86 damage to an enemy, stunning it for 3 sec.
An ogre foreman who slams the tank. Killing him opens the first mine door.
- Tanks
- Pull his miners with him or kill them first, and keep him facing away from the group.
- Healers
- His Slam hits the tank hard: keep the tank topped up between slams.
- Damage dealers
- Kill any miners near him first, then Rhahk'Zor; he only hits hard in melee, so it's a straightforward fight.

Pierce ArmorReduces an enemy's armor by 75% for 20 sec.
A rare Defias miner who reduces the tank's armour with Pierce Armor.
- Tanks
- Expect to take more damage as Pierce Armor stacks; it's short, so just hold him.
- Healers
- More tank damage than usual for his level. Keep healing steady.
- Damage dealers
- Kill him quickly: the longer the fight, the more armour the tank loses.
The lumber mill and the foundry

A goblin shredder that fears with Terrify and hits with Distracting Pain. When destroyed it ejects Sneed, who keeps fighting.
- Tanks
- Hold the shredder in the open and be ready to pick Sneed up the moment he's ejected.
- Healers
- Terrify sends players running; heal whoever runs into the mill's other workers.

DisarmDisarms an enemy, forcing it to stop wielding its weapon for 6 sec.
The goblin pilot, ejected when his shredder breaks. He disarms the tank. His key opens the next door.
- Tanks
- Taunt him the moment he appears. Disarm lowers your damage, not your survival: keep him on you.
- Healers
- He goes for whoever has threat first; stay back until the tank has him.
- Damage dealers
- Switch to him the moment he's ejected; he has little health and dies fast.

A goblin smelter in the foundry who splashes Molten Metal on the tank. He guards the door to the cannon tunnel.
- Tanks
- Clear the goblins around him, then hold him in place.
- Healers
- Molten Metal adds fire damage to the tank; heal through it.
- Damage dealers
- Kill the nearby goblins first, then him. Don't step off the walkways into another pack.

VanCleef's first mate. At two points he stuns everyone with Smite Stomp, then changes weapons and hits harder.
- Tanks
- Be at full health before each stomp: you can't act during the stun and he keeps attacking.
- Healers
- Top the tank up before he reaches his weapon-swap points; you'll be stunned too.
- Damage dealers
- Burn him steadily and keep an eye on the tank's health when his health gets near the swap points.

A goblin pirate who throws a Poisoned Harpoon. He fights with pirates around him.
- Tanks
- Pull him and his pirates together back down the deck, away from VanCleef's level.
- Healers
- Remove poison from the tank if you can; otherwise heal through it.
- Damage dealers
- Kill the pirates first if they're many, then Greenskin. Don't run up toward VanCleef.

VanCleef's Allies
The Defias leader on the top deck. During the fight he calls VanCleef's Allies, Defias guards who join in.
- Tanks
- Hold VanCleef and pick up his allies when they arrive so they don't reach the healer.
- Healers
- Damage rises when his allies join. Keep the tank healthy and stay near the group.
- Damage dealers
- Kill the allies as they come, or crowd-control them, then finish VanCleef.
Before you go
- Watch behind the group after opening major doors: new Defias patrols can catch resting players.
- Fight the ship ramps in small pulls. Runners can bring enemies from the next deck.
- No attunement or key. Pick up gunpowder from the side chamber to fire the cannon that opens the final shipyard door.
