The Dread Citadel – Naxxramas

Overview

Four wings lead to Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad. Encounters test healing assignments, tank depth, movement, and consumable planning across a fifteen-encounter raid.

How to get there

Use the attuned teleport spire in Plaguewood, northern Eastern Plaguelands. This is the original level-60 raid, not the Northrend version.

Show entrance on the World Map

Alliance

Travel from Light's Hope Chapel to Plaguewood and approach the teleport spire.

Horde

Travel from Light's Hope Chapel to Plaguewood after completing the Argent Dawn entry quest.

Requirements & attunements

Complete The Dread Citadel – Naxxramas through Archmage Angela Dosantos at Light's Hope Chapel. The entry donation decreases with Argent Dawn reputation and is free at Exalted.

Tips & preparation

  • Prepare frost resistance and frost protection for Sapphiron; plan shadow protection for Loatheb.
  • Assign tanks and rotations before the Four Horsemen rather than improvising after the pull.
  • Bring enough consumables for a long raid and establish which wing the group will tackle first.
