Wrath Classic Phase 2: Ulduar, Emblems of Conquest and Titan Rune Dungeons

Ulduar, the Titans' prison for the Old God Yogg-Saron, opened in The Storm Peaks for 10 and 25 players at level 80. It has fourteen encounters, from Flame Leviathan, Ignis the Furnace Master, Razorscale and XT-002 Deconstructor through the Assembly of Iron, Kologarn and Auriaya, the four Keepers Freya, Thorim, Mimiron and Hodir, and General Vezax, to Yogg-Saron and the optional Algalon the Observer.

The patch notes say Ulduar opened with its original patch 3.1 tuning, with stronger items than the 2009 release. Many of its bosses have hard modes that make the fight harder for better loot.

New vendors in Dalaran's Sunreaver's Sanctuary and Silver Enclave sell neck, waist, hand and leg items, some raid set pieces and Deadly Gladiator PvP gear for Emblems of Conquest.

• Arena Season 6 began after the weekly maintenance of January 17. Its rating requirements matched Season 5, and earlier seasons' gear became available without rating requirements.
• The Argent Tournament's daily quest hub opened in Icecrown while its grounds were still being built; the full tournament followed in the next phase.
• A Mysterious Titanic Relic appeared at every level-80 Heroic dungeon. Using it turns on Defense Protocol Alpha: enemies gain health, damage and extra effects, and bosses can drop gear from 10-player Naxxramas, the Eye of Eternity and the Obsidian Sanctum.
• The week of January 23, Emalon the Storm Watcher joined the Vault of Archavon, dropping Ulduar set pieces and Furious Gladiator gear in the 25-player version.
