Druid Class Guide — Class Guides · WoW Burning Crusade

A leather-wearing shapeshifter who heals in caster form, tanks in Bear Form, deals melee damage in Cat Form, and casts Balance spells. Druids can fill any role in a group.

How the druid plays

Druids in The Burning Crusade are wanted in every role: Tree of Life Restoration heals raids with Lifebloom, Feral druids tank as well as warriors with Mangle and Lacerate, and Moonkins bring a spell crit aura.

Forms still break roots and slows, Flight Form arrives at level 68, and Cyclone gives druids a strong crowd control spell for arenas.

Each role needs its own gear, and switching roles means switching talents.

Strengths and weaknesses

Strengths

  • Every role, with excellent tanking and healing.
  • Innervate and Rebirth.
  • Mobility: Travel Form, Flight Form, Dash and shifting out of slows.

Weaknesses

  • Each role needs its own gear.
  • Tree of Life can't cast most damage spells.
  • Shifting costs mana.

Specializations

The specs compared

Each spec rated from 1 to 5 at what it does in WoW Burning Crusade. Single and several targets mean damage for damage specs, healing for healers and threat for tanks; a spec's own guide names its ratings for its role.
