Enter Macro Commands:

#showtooltip
/cast [combat,@mouseover,help,dead][combat] Rebirth; [@mouseover,help,dead][] Revive

What it does

In combat it casts Rebirth on the dead friend under your cursor, or your target. Out of combat it casts Revive, the cheaper resurrection, the same way.

How to use

Point at a dead player's raid frame and press: mid-fight you get the battle resurrection, after it the normal one.

Requirements

How it works

  1. #showtooltip
    • The button shows whatever the macro will cast: its icon, cooldown and tooltip
  2. /cast [combat,@mouseover,help,dead][combat] Rebirth; [@mouseover,help,dead][] Revive
    • Option 1:Cast Rebirth · On: The unit under your mouse cursorWhen:You are in combatIt is friendlyIt is dead
    • Option 2:Cast Rebirth · On: Your target, or the game's normal targetingWhen:You are in combat
    • Option 3:Cast Revive · On: The unit under your mouse cursorWhen:It is friendlyIt is dead
    • Otherwise:Cast Revive · On: Your target, or the game's normal targeting

Limitations

  • Rebirth uses a reagent in versions that need one, and has a long cooldown.

How to add a macro in the game
  1. Type /macro in the chat box and press Enter, or open the game menu and choose Macros.
  2. Choose New. Give the macro a name and pick the question-mark icon: with #showtooltip the button then shows the spell it casts.
  3. On this page, choose a macro and press Copy Macro.
  4. Click into the macro window's text box and paste (Ctrl+V, or ⌘V on a Mac).
  5. Drag the macro's icon from the window onto an action bar.

General Macros are shared by all your characters on the account; Character Specific Macros belong to one character. Class macros belong in the character tab.
