Location
The Throne of Kil'jaeden, on the northern edge of Hellfire Peninsula.

Overview

Once known as Lord Kazzak of the Blasted Lands, he crossed into Outland when the Dark Portal reopened and took command of the Burning Legion's war there in Kil'jaeden's name. He holds the Throne of Kil'jaeden, a mountain above Hellfire Peninsula, with Deathforge Automatons at his side.

Location

The Throne of Kil'jaeden, on the northern edge of Hellfire Peninsula.

The respawn timer isn't confirmed: it takes several days, and spawn timers are not shown in game.

Abilities

  • Shadow Bolt Volley

    Shadow damage to everyone in range, ignoring line of sight.

  • Mark of Kazzak

    Drains 5% of a mana user's mana every second for 10 seconds and explodes when the mana is gone, damaging nearby players. It can't be removed.

  • Twisted Reflection

    A magic debuff on a random player: each time Kazzak damages that player, he heals himself.

  • Capture Soul

    Heals him for a large amount whenever a player dies.

  • Void Bolt

    A heavy Shadow bolt at his current target that also slows it.

  • Cleave

    A cleaving strike that reaches farther than normal melee range.

  • Thunderclap

    Nature damage to nearby players that slows their movement and attacks.

  • Frenzy

    About every minute he enrages for 10 seconds, dealing more damage and casting Shadow Bolt Volley again and again.

  • Berserk

    If the fight drags on he goes berserk: faster attacks and nonstop Shadow Bolt Volleys.

Tactics

  • Melee fight from behind him: his Cleave reaches well beyond normal melee range.
  • Remove Twisted Reflection at once. Mark of Kazzak can't be removed, so the marked player moves away from the raid before it explodes.
  • Plan for each enrage: raid damage spikes, so use healthstones, potions and stamina buffs, and save healing cooldowns for it.
  • Avoid deaths: each one heals him through Capture Soul.
