Create the mallet that rings the gong to summon Gahz'rilla in Zul'Farrak.

Requirements

A group able to defeat elite trolls in the Hinterlands and reach the top of Jintha'Alor.

When it applies

Patch 3.0.8 removed the need for the mallet: anyone can ring the gong for Gahz'rilla.

Step-by-step checklist

  1. 1. Take the Sacred Mallet

    Defeat Qiaga the Keeper at the Altar of Zul in the Hinterlands and loot the Sacred Mallet.

  2. 2. Empower it at Jintha'Alor

    Climb to the altar at the top of Jintha'Alor and use the Sacred Mallet there to create the Mallet of Zul'Farrak.

    First complete: Take the Sacred Mallet

  3. 3. Ring Gahz'rilla's gong

    In Zul'Farrak, use the mallet on the gong by Gahz'rilla's pool. Pick up Gahz'rilla from Wizzle Brassbolts in the Shimmering Flats first if you want the quest reward.
